What is Bridal Jeopardy?

Bridal Jeopardy is a wedding-themed spin on the classic Jeopardy game, featuring:

  • Categories that relate to the bride, wedding traditions, love songs, and more.
  • Point values assigned to each question, increasing in difficulty.
  • Interactive gameplay, where teams or individuals answer questions to earn points.
  • A fun way to celebrate the bride while engaging all party guests.

The best part? You can personalize the game to match the bride’s personality and the bachelorette party theme!

Canva vs. PowerPoint: Which One Should You Use?

Before diving into the creation process, let’s break down which platform is right for you.

If you want sleek, trendy designs, go with Canva. If you prefer a more interactive and animated experience, PowerPoint is your best bet. Canva is free, while Powerpoint will require a purchase copy or Office 365 account.

You can also use Google Slides which is available for free with a Google Account.

How to Create a Bridal Jeopardy Game in Canva

Step 1: Create your Game Template or use ours

Go to Canva or and log in or create a free account. If using Powerpoint, you will need a valid Office 365 account.

Create a slide to mimic the gameshow board like below. You will need to add a table for the grid, then add category names and amounts of money or points per question.

This example comes from our own template.

Next, select your colours, background and font choice to match the party theme. (We have done for you templates to match many bachelorette themes in our Etsy shop).

Step 2: Add Questions & Answers

You will need to create a slide for each question. It can help to map this out on paper first so you can tick off all your questions and categories. For example, if one of your categories is Wedding Trivia, you will need to have a slide for Wedding Trivia for $200, Wedding Trivia for $400, etc. You may also need to create extra slides to reveal each answer.

If you want a done-for-you template that you can customise then check out our Bachelorette Trivia Game templates available on Etsy.

Step 3: Make It Interactive

This part can also get tricky, and mapping it out on paper is again recommended. We now need to insert a hyperlink from the game board to each of the corresponding slides.

You will also need to link to the answer slide for each question or create a reveal animation that hides the answer until it is clicked. Each slide also needs to link back to the game board to avoid the slides being shown in the wrong order.

How to insert hyperlinks in Canva:

  • Select a question square.
  • Click the link icon and choose the corresponding answer slide.
  • Do the same for a “Back to Game Board” button on each answer slide.

How to insert hyperlinks in Powerpoint:

  1. Select Insert → Hyperlink, then link it to the corresponding question slide.
  2. On each question slide, add a “Back to Game Board” button that links back.

Step 5: Save & Play!

How to play in Canva:

  • Download your game as a PDF with clickable links or present directly from Canva.
  • Play by clicking on the questions to reveal answers!

How to play in Powerpoint:

  • Save as a PowerPoint file and present in Slideshow mode.
  • Click on categories to navigate through the game!

Tips for Hosting Bridal Jeopardy

To ensure your game is a hit, follow these hosting tips:

Designate a Game Host – Have a bridesmaid run the game for smooth gameplay.
Use a Scoreboard – Keep track of points using a whiteboard or a spreadsheet.
Give Out Fun Prizes – Offer mini bottles of champagne or fun bachelorette gifts for winners.
Turn It Into a Drinking Game (Optional) – Guests take a sip for wrong answers!
Keep the Energy Up! – Play background music and celebrate correct answers with cheers.

Make sure you have verified the answers – if the bride or groom need to provide answers to the questions about themselves, give them an email or paper questionnaire to fill in. Keep a copy either electronically or on paper to verify any answers. (especially if the bride-to-be swears she didn’t give that answer!)

For general knowledge questions such as Wedding Trivia or Romantic Songs, provide a source for the answer to avoid arguments.

Make the questions multiple choice – This can keep the game fun and stop players feeling stumped if they know the answer is a choice or 3 possibilities.
